Can I Seal Composite Decking?

You can leave them as is, but if you want, you should probably be able to remove them using coarse sandpaper. You can also try using a wire brush, but be aware that certain types of composite timber have a bad reaction to metal, which could worsen the situation. For those stubborn stains try Krud Kutter® Concentrated Cleaner / Degreaser Stain Remover. After the solution is poured, sprinkle some baking soda on the area. Let this compound sit and soak for 20 minutes and then use your gentle bristle brush to scrub the area and remove any leftover mold and mildew.

Removing Stains

This isn’t more effective than scrubbing by hand, but it’s much faster. If you have a large deck, you may prefer this approach. Use a pressure washer with no greater than 3100 psi and make sure it has a fan attachment and soap dispenser.
